KARACHI - Funeral prayers of three ASWJ men, who were gunned down in an act of targeted killing in Surjani locality of the city on Saturday, were offered at Siddiq-e-Akbar Mosque on Sunday.Scores of leaders, supporters and activists of the ASWJ also attended the funeral. The victims were later buried at the New Karachi graveyard. ASWJ Central leader Maulana Aurangzaib Farooqui said that they had postponed the protest demonstration to be held outside the Governor’s House against the killings of ASWJ men on sectarian basis. He said that his organisation postponed the protest demonstration schedule after the senior officials concerned ensured them of providing ASWJ leaders’ fullproof security, treatment to the injured ASWJ activist and release of apprehended party workers. Funeral prayer of IB officer, Syed Qamar Raza, who was gunned down near his home in Sharifabad area, was offered at Imambargah Shudah-e-Karbalah in Ancholi and later he was laid to rest in Wadi-e-Hussain graveyard on Super Highway.
