Constable crushed to death



LAHORE – A 50-year-old police constable, father of five, was crushed to death by a speeding motorcar in the Manawan police precints on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Khan of Talwara Village. Police investigators said Muhammad Khan was deputed in the Batapur police area. He was heading towards his home on a motorbike when a speeding car hit his bike from the rear side near Quaid-e-Azam Interchange, Sharifpura.
Subsequently, he sustained multiple injuries and died instantly. Later, police reached the spot and shifted his body to the City morgue. The accused car driver has been booked and arrested by the police. Further investigation is underway.
