RAWALPINDI – The country’s first air-conditioned Judicial Complex’s sprawling building has been erected on 86 kanals area where sessions court will be shifted from 10th July and inauguration ceremony of the complex will be held on 16th July. Sources said that sessions civil and family courts of district courts would be shifted to big Judicial Complex of the country from 10th July and on 16th July inauguration of the complex would be commemorated.

The chief guest during the inauguration ceremony of the sprawling Judicial Complex would be Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, Chief Justice Lahore High Court Umer Atta Bindial, President District Bar Sajjid Ali Bhatti while judges of Supreme Court, Islamabad High Court and Rawalpindi High Court bench judges will also participate in the ceremony.

After the shifting of sessions courts to the Judicial Complex, other dispersed courts in the city including tribunal accountability courts, special judge central, drug court, consumer court and custom court would also be shifted to the complex besides that plan was underway to construct an under-pass to connect district courts with the newly erected Judicial Complex in order to approach the complex easily and avoid traffic hurdle.

District and Sessions Judges Rawalpindi had formally taken control of the Judicial Complex being constructed on 86 kanals of land while entry to the Judicial Complex will be through walk-through gates. In order to enhance security of the complex, around 50 close circuit cameras were installed in the huge building while commandos will be deployed inside and at the rooftop of the complex to avoid any untoward incident.
