BAHAWALPUR - The police arrested 17 proclaimed offenders, three court absconders during a crackdown and recovered arms and 88 motorcycles and 15 unregistered cars here the other night.

According to details, the police under supervision of DPO Bahawalpur who is also stand in RPO Ahmed Ishaq Jehangir carried out a crackdown on criminals in different areas of the district. During separate raids and search operations in the district the police arrested 13 proclaimed offenders and three court absconders and recovered arms, bullets and 88 bikes and 15 unregistered cars from their possession.

The detained culprits were wanted by various police stations in different crimes.

Cases have been registered against the accused and police have started investigation.

Meanwhile, Acting Regional Police Officer Ishaq Ahmad Jahangir inspected and monitored the crackdown in Bahawalpur City by riding a motorcycle without protocol and guards for four hours.
