BAJAUR AGENCY - Two militants were killed and eight others got injured after security forces and Mohmand Qaumi Lashkar repulsed a cross border attack in the Kagga area of Mohmand tehsil in Bajaur tribal region on Sunday, officials of the local administration said.

The official said that a group of militants from across the border entered the Pakistani territory and attacked with heavy weapons on the mountains area of Kagga.  “The security forces and volunteers of Laskhar took their positions soon after they heard the firing and retaliated ,” the official said.  The local said that the exchange of firing between the militants and the volunteers continued for the more than two hours ,

however, no causalities have reported from the Laskhar side. 

It is pertinent to mention here that after the recent border attacks in Upper Dir, the tribal elders of Mohmand tribe had deployed hundreds of more volunteers in different areas along the border to prevent possible cross-border attacks.
