UNICEF gives cash to IDPs’ children


PESHAWAR  - Pakistan Village Development Program (PVDP) with the financial help of UNICEF on Sunday provided cash assistance to IDPs’ children residing in Durrani Camp, Sadda. Executive Director PVDP, Haris Zaka distributed cash amount of Rs. 1500 each among 400 children in a  ceremony attended by Camp In charge, Shah Daraz, Camp Coordinator, Mohammad Imran were present on the occasion.Talking on the occasion, Coordinator Mohammad Imran said we have planned to extend our social work activities to drug addicted children in a view to address their long sense of deprivation and providing them an opportunity to resume normal lifestyle. He said that a team of qualified psychologists are conducting counselling procedures for the rehabilitation of the addict children besides disseminating necessary information to reduce incidents of child labour in the society. Parents of the children appreciated the endeavours of UNICEF and PVDP for provision of financial asese activities in future.
