Uplift worth Rs665 million underway under SPDP

BAHAWALNAGAR - 100 fair price shops and seven Ramazan Dastakhwan will be set up the holy month of Ramazan to provide relief to the public here in the district. Moreover, 79 development projects at cost of Rs665 million are being executed under the Southern Punjab Development Programme (SPDP).
DCO Asim Iqbal disclosed the details while presiding over a meeting to finalise plan Ramazan arrangements here.
As per detail, the meeting was told that Rs160 million would be spent on the relocation of General Bus stand from city to bypass while, Rs80 million would be spent on the establishment of Paramedical School. The participants were informed that Rs7 million was needed for up-gradation of Mohib Ali School.
On the occasion, the DCO said that Rs200 million were being spent on 4 major projects under the Southern Punjab Development Programme.
He said that under the MPAs package, Rs82 million was being spent on schemes pertaining to the provision of missing facilities and up gradation to School and Rs37.5 million was spent on 14 schemes for supply of potable water. About the Ramazan Package, he said that 100 fair price shops having 52 stalls of sugar, Ghee, meat would be set up besides 7 Ramazan dastarkhwan would also be established to feed the poor across the district.
