Visitors demand security, lights in Nawaz Sharfi Park

RAWALPINDI – The visiting families to Nawaz Sharif Public Park have expressed concern over lack of lights and proper security.
Visitors of Nawaz Sharif Park, located on Double Road, talking to this agency deplored concerned authority for turning a blind eye towards the maintenance of the park, saying that it lacks lights and security system. Moreover, families have to go back to their homes as soon as sunset because eve teasers usually start wandering in the park.
“This is a nice park but not suitable for families due to lack of lights and no arrangement of security at entry and exit points,” a visitor Muhammad Shahid said. Munawara Raheem, a visitor, said that the park is named before twice elected prime minister Nawaz Sharif but lack basic facilities, adding that owing to poor security, families have stopped visiting to the park.
The visitors demanded district coordination officer to pay due attention towards maintenance and security of public parks so as to provide safe recreational spots to the citizens.
