Woman killed, 5 hurt as train hits rickshaw

SARGODHA - A woman was killed while five injured including two critically when Karachi-Peshawar bound Hazara Express train hit a motorcycle-rickshaw near at village 78 in the jurisdictions of Cantt Police here on Sunday.
As per details, a motorcycle-rickshaw carrying passengers was going through an open railway crossing at 78 Bridge Bus Stop on Sargodha-Shaheenabad Road. Meanwhile, the rickshaw driver could not judge the arrival of train in the ear-torn noise of his own rickshaw as a result of which the train rammed into the rickshaw.
Resultantly, a woman identified as Musarrat Bibi died on the spot while five other injured who were shifted to DHQ Hospital by Rescue 1122. Later, two injured namely Munawar Bibi and Jamshad were referred to Lahore due to their critical condition.
DSPs transferred, posted: Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Habibur Rehman ordered the transfers of two DSPs here the other day.
As per notification, DSP Wajid Hussain has been transferred and posted as SDPO Sargodha Saddr Circle. Similarly, he was transferred in place of DSP Ihsan Ullah Chohan who has been transferred to the Punjab Counter Terrorism Department on administrative grounds.
