During a surprising raid, the Vehari district coordination officer found the duty doctor asleep sleeping in a separate room locked inside and a dispenser who also sleeping on a ward table.
There was no nurse on duty at that time. Housekeeping was also poor in emergency ward.
When the dispenser knocked the doctor room where duty officer was asleep, he did not open the door after knocking lot of time in presence of the officer. DCO Nasir Jamal ordered inquiry against the doctor and issued notice.
Talking to media persons, the DCO said that in emergency, the doctors commit negligence.
