LAHORE - A man shot himself in the head shortly after his brother in law died of alcohol poisoning in Lahore’s Bahria Town, police said on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Bilal Saeed, 25, a resident of Model Town Lahore and his 27-year-old brother-in-law Arsh Khan, 27, who lived in Islamabad.

A police officer said both the young men were attending a “dinking party” at the Pasha Farmhouse late Saturday night.

SP Sadar police division Maaz Zafar said Bilal and Arsh went to a drinking party at Pasha Farmhouse, Bahria Town, in the jurisdiction of Raiwind police station where Bilal consumed some dinks in excessive quantity. He was rushed to a hospital but he expired “due to high intoxication.”

Arsh who accompanied his brother-in-law to hospital shot himself in the head soon after his relative was pronounced as dead.  Police officer Zafar said that they had started legal action against the administration of Pasha Farmhouse. The bodies were moved to the city morgue. The police were investigating the deaths.


Four persons of a family were injured critically when two motorcycles bumped into each other near T-No 5 bus stop on Bund Road.

The victims were identified as Mahboob, his wife Zeenat, and daughters Muqadas and Yashwa. They were shifted to hospital by Edhi ambulance service.
