LHC gives directive to resume flight operation at Walton airport

Flight operation for eight weeks at Walton airport in Lahore has been resumed after Lahore High Court (LHC) passed an order on Friday. 

The law officer, during the hearing stated that 8 to 22 weeks are required for shifting of the airport and the preparation of report on infrastructure.  

It is to note that earlier, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had notified permanent closure of Lahore’s oldest Walton airport.  

Following the order, all flying clubs grounded their planes as the airport was to be shut down for all operations.
