The district executive officer (health) has constituted an inquiry committee consisting of two doctors to probe into the death of one-year-old child who allegedly died after being administered a “wrong injection” in a private hospital.

Azam had been brought to Tariq Hospital located on Gujranwala Road, some three km away from the city. The doctor on duty checked up the infant and administered him an injection which caused his death, alleged the deceased infant’s family.  However, Dr Tariq, the owner of the hospital, denied the allegation and said the boy was already in precarious condition when he was brought to the hospital and he died due to his illness.
