Lahore- Elections 2013 of Society of Aircraft Engineers Pakistan (SAEP) were held at PIA head office wherein Shoukat Jamshed’s panel yet again won all the positions of office bearers by a clear majority for the 5th consecutive time as the final but un-official result. These elections were conducted at CAA Club atKarachion Friday. Polling continued from08amto06pmin the evening in a peaceful manner.

Despite the hot and humid weather, the participation of the members in the elections was remarkable with a turnover of more than 90% when 686 members used their right of vote to elect the candidate of their choice, said spokesman of SAEP. He said that Shoukat Jamshed, from amongst the three contesting candidate, was elected as president of SAEP and got 530 votes. Anjum Raheem became the general secretary by getting 341 votes. M Saleem bagged 571 as vice president, Abdul Razzak Chaudry got 387 votes as technical secretary, Abdul Majeed acquired 400 votes as joint secretary technical, Shafiq Hussain got 471 votes as joint secretary general, Shahzad Alam obtained 338 votes as treasurer.

Newly elected president Shoukat Jamshed said he would leave no stone unturned for the progress of the airlines and welfare of his colleagues.
