Margalla Festival celebrations in full swing

ISLAMABAD - The celebrations of Margalla Festival 2013, organised by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) here at Arts and Crafts Village, are in full swing. Artist from four provinces, besides Gilgit-Batistan and Ajad Jammu & Kashmir, performed and received great appreciation from the residents of the twin cities.
Member Administration CDA, Munir Ahmed Chaudhry, was the chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing to audience of Margalla Festival, Munir appreciated the participation of residents of twin cities in Margalla Festival and said that on the directions of chairman CDA, this mega cultural event, is being organised for the entertainment of the residents. He said the artists from all over Pakistan have provided complete entertainment to the visitors.
He said after the conclusion of Mragalla Festival, CDA will organise different sports competitions and these competitions will help provide opportunity to youth to exhibit their talent. He said that sports and culture directorate of CDA would arrange different sports and cultural activities round the year to provide healthy recreational facilities to residents of Islamabad.
The people from the twin cities and other surrounding areas enjoyed performance of renowned artist from Punjab Nadeem Abbas Looney Wala, who presented Punjabi and Saraiki songs. Whereas Kalash Dance Group of Hunza and Gholey Laal Group also performed and received great appreciation from the audience. Concluding ceremony of Margalla Festival 2013 will be held today (Sunday).
