Police bust inter-district dacoit gang

The Kasur District Police have busted an inter-district criminal gang and arrested its three members included the ringleader.
SP (Investigations) Shahid Hafeez disclosed this while talking to newsmen here the other day. He said that the police succeeded in smashing the dacoit gang and arrested its ringleader Shahbaz alias Shabaji and two other members namely Salim Masih and Nadeem Masih who were the symbol of terror in Kasur and other districts.  The police also recovered 3 pistols, huge quantity of bullets, 5 cellphones, Rs50,000, a motorcycle, 2 tolas of gold, a car and other valuables worth more than 1.5 million.
The SP also told that the accused had been involved in road dacoity, and burglaries, shop robbery and other crimes.
He said that the accused snatched Rs8,500, five tolas gold and cellphones at village Bhasin from Naimat Ali in the remit of Sarai Mughal Police who was on the way to home on a bike along with his wife and a nephew some 8 days ago.
Later, they also snatched Rs39,100 and cellphones from Javed Iqbal and his companion Abdul Rasheed at village Bhambha in the remit of Kot Radha Kishan Police, he added.
He claimed that the culprits confessed to more that 25 dacoities and robbery incidents in Kasur and Lahore and further interrogation was underway.
Saddr Circle Police DSP Syed Nazar Abbas Shah and Kot Rahda Kishan Police SHO Younas Dogar were also present on the occasion.
