LAKKI MARWAT - Officials of the district Education Department have issued clear cut instructions to the heads of government schools to facilitate all those students who want to take admission in government schools.

The instructions to this effect were issued to the principal and headmasters of high and higher secondary schools at a meeting chaired by DEO Haji Taj Ali Khan in his office on Saturday. Among others DDEO Haji Khalid Wahab and SDEO Nasrullah Jan attended the meeting. Principals and headmasters of high and higher secondary schools were also in the attendance. Officials said at the meeting that reluctance of principals and headmasters to admit admission-seeking students in their respective schools would not be tolerated at all. To refuse admitting students in government schools is a crime and such heads of educational institutions will face disciplinary action if the department received any complaint against them, they maintained.

They directed the heads of schools to submit monthly report of expenditures in the district education office and also share information about the vacant posts of teachers in high and higher secondary schools. Officials underlined the need for transparent utilisation of parent teacher council’s funds and warned that teachers should avoid visiting the offices of local ESED officials for transfer purpose, otherwise, they would face the music.

They also directed the schools’ bosses to ensure presence of class four employees and watchmen in the respective schools during summer vacations. The heads of schools should also submit detailed reports about the shortage of textbooks in their respective schools besides they should ensure transparent and just disbursement of funds among teachers and other employees under MRC and TA/DA heads, they added.
