TMAs get Rs1 billion funds

The Punjab Finance Department has released a big chunk of over Rs1 billion to the Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) of Multan as a share from the provincial finance award. The TMA sources disclosed that the Finance Department, however, deducted over Rs120 million under the heads of electricity arrears and advance loans. Sources said that out of total amount, over Rs172.7 million is allocated as development budget and all towns are given their share. According to details, the Shah Rukan-e-Alam Town got Rs1 million, Jalalpur Town Rs3.3 million, Moosa Pak Town Rs1.7 million, Sher Shah Town Rs1.6 million, Bosan Town Rs2.1 million and Shujabad Town Rs4.6 million.
