RAWALPINDI - Governor Punjab Latif Khosa on Tuesday said that the federal government and the government of Punjab do not have any difference on Raymond Davis case and he was enjoying good working relationship with the Punjab government. Khosa was talking to journalists after attending a function here at Fatima Jinnah Women University. When asked about the Davis case and issuance of arrest warrants of former President Pervez Musharraf, Khosa said that these were sub judice matters and it would be better to wait for the court decision, assuring that Raymond Davis case would be dealt with as per the Constitution and law of Pakistan. Condemning the assassination of federal minister for minority affairs, Shahbaz Bhatti, Khosa said, The killing of Bhatti is a murder of whole humanity. His murderers are the foe of the democracy as well as the country. The investigations are under way and Islamabad police have recovered the vehicle used in the crime, besides apprehending some suspects. He said that the pamphlet recovered from the crime scene was an attempt to divert the investigations. Replying a question regarding Rehman Maliks using of term 'Punjabi Taliban, he said that Malik might get some authentic information from secret sources and he could not say anything about this. He said that despite many problems, the crime ratio in Pakistan was much lesser than developed countries. The only difference is that the crime is being glamorised by media, which should not be happen, he added. The history tells that army and police sacrificed their lives for the safety of the people and security of the country. I instructed IG Punjab to prepare a list of the areas where crime rate is higher and strict action will be taken against concerned SPs, he added.
