LAHORE - The 124th Annual Athletics Championship of Forman Christian College commenced at the picturesque track of the college with traditional fervour and enthusiasm on Tuesday. The opening of the championship was performed by Rector Dr Peter H Armacost. Keeping in line with the traditions of the College, the ceremony started with march past by the athletes, under their team banners, followed by opening declaration by the Rector. Afterwards, Nabeel Shafee Ullah, Captain of the Athletics Club, took the Olympic oath on behalf of all the participating athletics. During the oath, all participants raised their right arms up in token thereof. Later, the President Sports Association presented mementos to the Rector. It was followed by the Athletics and Gymkhana events.
