President of Islamic Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Wednesday invited Pakistani businessmen to invest in his countrys potential economic sectors of hydro-power, mining, construction, communication, agriculture, food processing, textile, light industry, tourism and services sector including banking. He assured all support and facilitation to Pakistani investors from his Government. Tajikistan President was addressing Pakistan business community here in an interactive meeting arranged by the Business Forum of Entrepreneurs of Pakistan and Tajikistan in collaboration with Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). More than 50 Tajik companies representatives were present for B 2 B meetings with their Pakistani counterparts. He recalled that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had initiated the economic cooperation between the two Muslim countries in 1994 and hoped that President Asif Ali Zardari would extend more cooperation and strengthen the bilateral economic ties. Paying tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Emomali Rahmon said Benazir Bhutto was a unique star among women politicians of the region. He suggested that Pakistan Government should start chartered flights carrying Pakistani businessmen to Tajikistan so that they could learn and witness investment opportunities available in various sectors.
