LAHORE City police have stepped security across the provincial metropolis, following the terrible bombing at a CNG station, which left 20 people dead and injured scores others on early Tuesday. Police sources said that heavy police contingents have been deployed around the key government installations situated at the leading arteries of the City including the Punjab Assembly building, Governors House, and the police headquarters besides the important private and corporate centers. The police have also intensified armed patrolling in the sensitive areas to avoid any untoward incident. The policemen have strictly been directed to keep a vigilant eye on the activities of the miscreants and arrest the suspected persons immediately. The snap-checking of vehicles and passengers at all the entry and exit points of the City is also being carried out to keep the situation under control, a police source added.
