ANP fulfilled all promises it made with masses: Hoti


PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that 80 per cent work on Palai Dam has been completed owing to the endeavors of the present government.
The project will be completed till June with total financial implication of Rs 911.143 million and it will irrigate 5000 acres land of the area. He was addressing local notables at Tangi Charsadda upon inaugurating Palai Dam. Provincial Minister Arshad Abdullah, MPA Taimoor Khan, Aimal Wali Khan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Syed Masoom Shah Bacha, President ANP Charsadda Khalid Khan, General Secretary Qasim Ali Khan, President ANP PK-20 Nisar Khan, Bashir Sherpao Central President PSF, Secretary Irrigation Sajad Khan Jadoon, District authorities and district officers irrigation department were also present on the occasion. MPA Taimor Khan and Aimal Wali Khan also addressed at the gathering.
The chief minister said that the project was exploited for political objectives in former regimes and was not given practical attention. He said the present government has not only realised the project but has accomplished 80 per cent work on it, adding that funds will be provided to complete the project till June. He said that it is due to red flag that ANP has fulfilled all its promises made to the people. He said that work on projects and services worth Rs 1.92 billion in PK-20 was in progress; that include Rs 44 cror and 14 lakh for education sector, Rs 5 cror and 5 lakh for health sector, Rs 11 cror and 55 lakh for water and sanitation, Rs 28 cror and 56 lakh for road sector, Rs 94 cror and 25 lakh for irrigation including Palai Dam, and Rs 8 cror and 50 lakh for Tameer Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Program and Special Package. He said that the development package in the constituency would be boosted to Rs 2 billion till June.
The chief minister said that Charsadda was the centre of Pakhtuns’ politics and Wali Bagh as centre of services and guidance adding Bacha Khan and Abdul Wali Khan had served the nation from here and now Asfandyar Wali was serving the people. He congratulated the people and said that Palai Dam was once a dream for him which has now materialized and the people can looked it one their own. MPA Taimoor Khan thanked the Chief Minister on providing generous funds for development of his constituency and said that Palai Dam will irrigate untilled land of Union Councils of Shakoor and Koz Behram Dehri while Shul Gara, Tarangzai, UmarZai, Utmanzai, Tarnab, sherpao, Municipal area Charsadda and other areas will secure from flooding of river Jhundi adding land of Charsadda will irrigate, which will bring agricultural revolution in the district.
Aimal Wali Khan said that previous governments have only offered oral claims on Palai Dam but ANP, under the leadership of Asfandyar Wali Khan and Amir Haider Khan Hoti, by realising the project has fulfilled the long standing demand of the people of Charsadda.
He said that ANP has become a strong People force in this constituency and congratulate office bearers and workers in this connection.
Earlier, the chief minister formally inaugurated Palai Dam. Authorities from irrigation Department apprised the Chief Minister that the Dam will irrigate 5000 acres seasonal land of the area, which would promote agriculture in the area.
