Bail pleas of collapsed factory owners dismissed


LAHORE – Three owners of the collapsed medicine factory were arrested when the Lahore High Court dismissed their bail applications on Thursday.25 labours including women had lost their lives when a boiler exploded in the medicine factory situated at Kharrak, Multan Road. Justice Kazim Raza Shamsi dismissed their bail applications after hearing arguments of their counsel and Punjab Prosecutor General at length. Two of the accused Zafar Iqbal and Zaheer Iqbal suddenly shouted at the Prosecutor General Sadaqat Ali Khan when he was giving arguments against them. They also tried to reach out to the prosecutor standing at a distance in a jam-packed courtroom. Khurram and some supporters pacified them and asked them to sit in the courtroom.
