ISLAMABAD  - US Ambassador Cameron Munter on Thursday discussed a range of bilateral issues with Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani, including Pakistan’s re-engagement with the US.  The two dignitaries discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, including re-engagement with the US once a joint session of the Parliament held.

Jilani expressed his satisfaction over the Parliamentary process, saying it would bring a much-needed clarity and transparency in Pakistan’s ties with the US.
He observed that the US had a long-standing relationship with Pakistan and constituted an important element of country’s foreign policy.
He underscored that Pakistan wanted to have a relationship with the US on the basis of mutual respect and interest.
