KARACHI - Municipal Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan has said that the encroachments within the jurisdictions of Intercity Bus Terminal, Baldia will be removed next week.
Chairing a meeting at his office, he said complaints were received eight months ago about establishment of encroachments in the limits of Intercity Bus Terminal which were causing inconvenience to public. He said departmental notices to the office-bearers of the Intercity Bus Terminal had been issued. They were directed to refrain from such practice.
The Intercity Bus Terminal is situated at Yousuf Goth in Baldia Town which spreads on 10 acres. The terminal can house more than 100 buses at a time. The terminal has been used by the interior Sindh and Balochistan-bound buses. EDO Transport Ateeq Baig, Assistant Commissioner Baldia Mir Ghulam Qadir Talpur, SDPO Baldia Rustam Nawaz, Director Land Saif Abbas and Director Land Anti-encroachment Cell were also present in the meeting.
