Two proclaimed offender were killed in Chak 11/GB in the remit of Sharqpur Police by their rivals here on Saturday.
According to details, the deceased identified as Nawaz alias Najo and Yasir had been declared proclaimed offenders and were wanted in many criminal cases. They had come to the locality to see their relatives.
However, when their opponents Mukhtar alias Mokha group came to know about their arrival, they besieged the house where they taken shelter. As soon as proclaimed offender came out of the house, they opponents opened firing killing both of them instantly. It has been learnt that the accused are also PO. Police started investigation after taking the deceased bodies to hospital for autopsy.
In another incident, a litigant was shot dead on the court premises by his rival on Saturday. The deceased Mumtaz, son of Sardar Ali, a resident of village Saith Wala near Shahkot had come to appear in a court as a witness in a murder case. After recording his statement before the judge the deceased came out of the court and was going towards his lawyer chamber. In the meanwhile his rival shot him dead. The B Division Police have started investigation.
Meanwhile, villagers shot two highway robbers dead on Muridke-Narowal Road near village Dala Wahga while a passerby namely Sahar also dead in cross-fire.
According to details, four highwaymen were commuters a picket adjacent to village Dala Wahga. Meanwhile a motorcyclist Tahir also arrived at the site. The robbers deprived of his two-wheelers at which he started raising alarms. Hearing to the hue and cry, villagers rushed for his rescue. Meanwhile, a shootout erupted between the robbers and villagers as a result of which two highway robbers later identified as Azmat and Qaisar were killed besides a passerby who also caught in the crossfire and got killed. The Muridke Saddr Police are looking into the matter.
