peshawar   -   Elders of Shia community on Tuesday demanded the government to conduct a judicial inquiry into the suicide attack on a mosque in Koocha Risaldar.

The demand was made by Majlis Wahdatul Muslemeen elders at a press conference in the Peshawar Press Club.

Sheikh Wilayat Hussain, former provincial minister from Balochistan, Syed Mohammad Raza, Allama Mustafa Hasan, Syed Taqqi Zaidi and others informed the media that they believed the suicide bomber succeeded in conducting the attack because of security lapse.

They said the officials had not made proper security arrangements although the intelligence agencies had warned them about the possible attacks in the city.

They said a number of injured lost their lives because they could not receive proper medical assistance.

They claimed that the injured persons had faced problems as the hospitals lacked facilities at their emergency departments.

They also demanded compensation for the heirs of those killed and injured in the attack.
