Probe into Nishtar Park, May12 tragedies demanded

KARACHI - All Parties Conference (APC) has demanded the government to hold the enquiry into Nishtar Park incident, May 12 2004 by-poll incident, May 12 2007 carnage, October 18 blasts and April 9 brutal incident. The APC also demanded government to arrest the culprits involved in the genocide done in the aforementioned tragedies. The APC also in an adopted resolution urged the government to remove the party from ruling coalition in Sindh Government which was allegedly involved in the fierce incidents of May 12, 2004 by-polls and May 12 2007. Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Ameer Prof. Ghaffor Ahmed, Saleem Zia of PML-N, Siddique Rathor of JUP, Arshad Naqvi of PPP, Amin Khatak of ANP, Yousaf Masti Khan of NWP, Asad-ullah Agha of PTI, Mohammad Hussain Mehanti of JI Karachi and others were addressed the APC organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi at party headquarter Idara-e-Noor Haq on Thursday. Addressing the APC, Veteran Politician JI Naib Ameer Prof. Ghaffor Ahmed warned that this would difficult to continue the ruling coalition if the PPP's will not respect the public mandate of the masses for restoration of judiciary. He urged all political parties to observe the black day on May 12 and demanded the government to immediately arrest the culprits involved in the incident. Criticising the newly elected government, he said that the problems of peoples were increasing due to the steps taken by the government and referring the 15 percent increase of railway fare. He urged the PPP CO-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari to not make understanding with the President Musharraf and claimed that the peoples had rejected the Musharraf in February 18 election. He demanded the government to reinstate the deposed judges immediately and said that the peoples of the country was given him the mandate of restoration of judiciary. PPP leader Arshad Naqvi said that Governor Sindh Eshrat-ul-Ebad in his statement had accepted his party's involvement in the May 12 carnage. He strongly condemned the May 12 mayhem and demanded the government to immediately arrest the culprits involved in the killing of innocent peoples. PML-N leader Saleem Zia said that PPP was dishonoured the public mandate given by the masses after making the coalition with MQM.
