PESHAWAR - Office-bearers of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Saturday expressed concern over the still ongoing power loadshedding and low gas pressure to the industrial estates of the province as well as production units. They said that the PESCO claims regarding provision of electricity to the industrial units in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at par with the other production units of the country have altogether proved wrong as the industrial estates in the province are still facing 6-8 hours loadshedding a day. SCCI President Riaz Arshad said that both the PESCO and SNGPL are still harbouring stubborn attitude and depriving the industrial estates of the province of the developmental opportunities by not providing regular power and gas supply. He said that PEPCO is unable to honour its promise of ensuring provision of electricity to all the industrial estates across the country on equality basis. He termed it a conspiracy hatched in order to force them close their businesses. He demanded of the federal and provincial governments to take a prompt action in this regard.
