Bandits rule the roost amidst police apathy

The citizens are concerned as bandits rule the roost and their life and property are unsafe while the police are apparently helpless to cope with the situation, it is learnt.
A bike rider was intercepted by bandits in the limits of Faqirwali police. When Waqar offered resistance, the outlaws opened fire at him, and killed him on the spot. The outlaws took the bike and cell phone of the deceased youth and managed their escape.
Likewise, salesman of beverage company Muhammad Ehsan, a resident of Chak 97/F, was injured and looted by the bandits in the limits of Bakshan Khan police. According to Ehsan, two unidentified outlaws intercepted his vehicle. They snatched cash amount after inflicting torture on him and his driver.
In another such incident, three unidentified bandits looted 125,000, a bike and other valuables from Asif Ali of 43/7R in the limits of city police Haroonabad. The bandits managed their good escape.
Meanwhile, Iqbal of Peoples Colony Haroonabad was deprived of Rs100,000 by two unidentified outlaws in the limits of city police.
When contacted, Asif Saeed, PRO to DPO Bahawalnagar, said cases have been registered against the outlaws and police have been conducting raids for arrest.
