JI points at corruption in CCBs

"The officials concerned have embezzled public money and have accumulated valuables assets at the cost of public," he alleged, regretting that so far no body had bothered looking into this massive corruption.
The JI Ameer said that the verdict pronounced by election tribunal in NA-125 constituency which de-seated federal minister Railways Saad Rafiq was a matter of great concern. Sirajul Haq lamented that the federal minsters were attributing the massive regularities in the constituency to the negligence of returning offices (ROs). He asked the ministers why the ROs and POs had committed this malpractice without the consent of the authority. He, however, said that the matter was in the apex court now and "we should await for a decision in this connection.
800 KG DEAD ANIMAL MEAT SEIZED: Officials of the Livestock Department accompanied by the Muridke police seized dead animal meat weighing 800 kg here on GT Road.
Acting on a tip-off, the raiding team intercepted a butcher namely Bilal. However, he after seeing the police fled the scene, leaving the vehicle on roadside. On inspection, the officials found 800 kgs of dead animal meat. The police have started investigation.
