Son of late KP governor joins ANP

MARDAN - Nawabzada Taimur Khan Hoti, son of former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late Abdul Ghafoor Khan Hoti, along with his son Sikandar Khan on Friday announced to join the Awami National Party (ANP) in a huge public meeting at his residence Hoti House.
Ameer Haider Hoti, provincial President of ANP, Himayatullah Mayar, District President, Latifur Rehman, District General Secretary and other office-bearers were also present on this occasion. Addressing the gathering Taimur Hoti said that he has taken part in politics to serve the people of Mardan. He added that since long he was thinking to join such a party through which he could better serve the masses.
He said that ANP especially Haider Hoti served the people of Mardan with their full capacity and due to this reason he along with his son Sikandar Khan and friends and family members has decided to join the nationalist party. He urged the masses to join hands with Haider Hoti as he was capable to address the public’s needs and it would be a better step towards the progress of Mardan.
Addressing on the occasion, Haider Hoti warmly welcomed and thanked the new entrants to the party for expressing confidence in the leadership of ANP. He said that they were the well-wishers of Pakhtun nation and their workers also believed in serving the Pakhtun nation. He also said that the new entrants have not joined the party for self-interest but to follow the devolvement of Mardan and service of Pakhtun nation.
Haider Hoti strongly condemned Jamaat Islam (JI), saying the JI leaders in Mardan staged a protest rally against their own provincial government for committing rigging in the local government elections in Mardan district. He said that JI also rigged the PK-95 Lower Dir by-elections.
He accused that JI appointed prayer leaders of mosques in the polling stations in the by-election. He accused that JI issued advance cheques of “Zakat” to the people in PK-95 before the by-election to get sympathies of voters.
He added that despite of all the rigging and using of government machinery in the by election ANP votes have increased in the by election. He added that ANP has lost PK 95 by election but it won the politics.
He also strongly criticized PTI Chief Imran Khan and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and other leaders of PTI for raising slogan against rigging in Sindh and Punjab while his own government is being accused of rigging in the local government elections in Mardan district. He added that PTI government has failed to launch developmental work in the district and stopped funds for the developmental works started during previous government now before the local government election the incumbents remembered Mardan and started developmental works in the district.
He added that few months ago, a person of Mardan met Parveez Khattak in Peshawar and asked him that Haider Hoti gave funds for his street mosque and demanded for more funds. Parveez Khattak answered the person that he is not the chief minister of mosques. Haider said that if he gains the chance again he would serve the mosques. “Parveez Khattak said that he will stage sit-in at Islamabad in favour of KP rights, we are with him but first he should give the rights to the opposition party in the province”, He added.
He added that PTI claimed that they have brought a better local government system in the province but in their first step, they disgraced Pakhtuns by allotting unique symbols to them. He added that a group is sitting at Bani-Gala Islamabad has been disgracing Pakhtun nationals but Pakhtun will take revenge on 30 May by rejecting them in the local government elections.
