VEHARI: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) registered a case against the in-charge of wheat procurement centre of Adda Ghulam Hussain over alleged embezzlement of 8,000 gunny bags. The FIR was registered on the complaint of District Food Controller Asghar Sahu. The DFC said that the inspector had embezzled 8,000 gunny bags from the Bani Shell Centre and had a programme to sell the same to a middle man.
He added that when he reached the Adda Ghulam Hussain centre, he found 6,000 bags loaded at a tractor-trolley but 2,000 bags were missing. On inquiring, the driver of the tractor-trolley told him that he had handed over 2,000 bags to Shaukat on the orders of the food inspector. On the complaint, the ACE had registered the case and started investigation.–Staff Reporter
