LAHORE – Dacoits on Thursday shot at and wounded two men on offering resistance during road robberies in different parts of the City, police sources claimed.

A man was on his way to deposit Rs one million in a bank when two motorcyclists intercepted him in Barki police precincts on early Thursday. The gunmen shot at and wounded Nadir as offered resistance and snatched away the cash.

In another incident, two gunmen held up Bilal in Shafiqabad police limits and demanded cash and motorcycle. As the youth offered resistance, the bandits shot at and wounded him and fled away after snatching his two-wheeler. The police are investigating.

Meanwhile, gunmen stormed the house of Malik Aslam in Gulshan-e-Iqbal police area and took away cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 10 millions after holding the inmates’ hostage at gunpoint.

Four robbers forced their entry into the house of Abdul Ghaffar in Naseerabad police limits and escaped after snatching cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 250,000 at gunpoint. Police sources also claimed that three cars and five motorcycles were also stolen away from different parts of the City on Thursday.

As per details, an 18-year-old motorcyclist was crossing the railway line when a train hit him in Ghaziabad police precincts. The youth identified as Muzammal, a resident of Taaj Bagh, died instantly.

A young girl died, shortly after she fell down from the rooftop of her house situated in Barkat Town, Shahdara.
