LAHORE – NAB Punjab Director General, Justice Khursheed Anwar Bhinder on Thursday distributed Rs26 million among 300 affectees of Sibtul Hassan Gillani alias Double Shah and Rs5054 millions among five the fraud victims of Mujahid Aziz Butt and others scam.

 A ceremony in this regard was held at NAB Provincial headquarter situated at Thokar Niaz Beg attended by affectees and senior officers of NAB. Speaking on the occasion DG NAB, said that NAB was actively working for the recovery of looted money and awareness of masses from the swindlers. He said that it was the mission of the NAB to create awareness among the people and catch fraudulent people. NAB spokesman said that Double Shah had committed fraud of worth Rs. 10 billions and minted money from the innocent people by alluring them for a high mark up than that of commercial banks. He introduced a parallel banking in the area and collected money from the people. He has been convicted by accountability court and recovery is under process by confiscation of his property.

Cops dismissed: CIA SP Umar Virk dismissed two police constables from services over their involvement in facilitating criminals in different cases, Spokesperson of CIA said on Thursday.

The spokesperson said constable Shehzad Ahmad No-11460/C was involved in changing samples of fraud cases in CIA Model Town police area. The constable was entrusted case samples to submit forensic science laboratory for verification but the constable changed the samples to facilitate accused party.

In second case Shehzad No-6577/C was found involved in informing about police raids. He repeatedly informed criminals and on suspicion his cell phone data was collected and examined which proved his involvement. CIA spokesperson said that both constables were dismissed from services after thorough interrogation and investigations by SP CIA.
