KARACHI-Jammat-e-Islami Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehnati said that international forces were fanning violence and blood shed in the metropolis.Mehnati expressed deep concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the city here on Thursday.He said that acts of target killings extortion, sectarian violence and bomb blast had become a permanent feature of the city and government had completely failed to maintain peace.JI leader warned that international forces were exploiting the situation and were rapidly striving to destroy the city.He appealed to the religious clerics to play their due role for religious and sectarian harmony and demanded the government to apply ‘iron hand’ against the miscreants as the recent spree of violence and terrorism in the metropolis was extremely dangerous to the existence of the country.About Muharram security, he said government was expected to make fool proof security plan to avoid any mishap but only lip-service was being made instead of concrete steps. Mehnati condemned the blast at the Rangers headquarters and condoled with the victim families. Criticizing the role of security institutions, he said it they were incapable to protect themselves how they could provide the security to masses.He regretted that law enforcement authorities had even failed to tackle protesters, from destroying public properties and also condemned the raid on a seminary.
