PESHAWAR - The inauguration ceremony of Rescue 1122, Mardan, was held at Town Hall Mardan on Thursday, wherein Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, was the chief guest.

Director General, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122), Dr Shams Ul Haq showed him the Control Room of Rescue 1122, Rescue Ambulances, Fire Vehicle and modern Rescue equipments.

Addressing at the occasion, Chief Minster, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said that after the bomb blast in Pepal Mandi Peshawar in (2010), the provisional government felt the dire need for the service, which provides timely response to any type of emergency, adding that that was why Rescue 1122 was established at Peshawar. He said Rescue 1122 was being established in Mardan now, which is the chain of that programme. He said the service would soon be established in other divisional districts in near future. In the first meeting of KPK Rescue 1122 council a permanent Director General will be selected purely on merit, he further added. Emergency Rescue service is now regularize and will be given all the privileges as per rules.  At the end of his speech he said that as Rescue 1122 is established in Mardan, now it is the role of media to create awareness the people of Mardan about this service.

So that people of Mardan may avail services at their doorstep.
