ARIFWALA - The Tehsil Bar Association Arifwala (TBAA) observed a complete strike and boycott of courts on the call of Sahiwal Bar Association. The strike was observed in the support of the demand for early hearing of lawyers’ case who were set ablaze during the struggle for the restoration of deposed apex court judges including Chief Justice of Pakistan in High court.

No advocate appeared in any court to highlight their demand. On the other hand, the litigants faced many difficulties due to the strike.

BODY FOUND: A dead body of six year old boy found which was not identified. As per detail, the dead boy of a six-year-old boy was found from Rajbah 2/L in the remit of Ahmad Yar Police.

However, identity of the deceased boy could not be established till filing of the report.

11 COWS, BUFFALOS STOLEN: Unidentified dacoits stole 11 cows including buffalos.

One of Ahsan Shah, a resident of Jewan Shah tied 11 cows and buffalos in his cattle pen. However, 11/12 dacoits untied all the cattle heads worth Rs1.9 million and took away.

Drug pusher nabbed:  The City Police arrested a drug-pusher and recovered narcotics from him.   On a tip-off, the City Police conducted a raid and recovered 130 gram of hashish from Faiz Ahmad, a resident of village-83/EB.  The police have registered a case.

TMA staffer robbed: Four dacoits snatched cash and cellphone from a government employee here the other day.

Reportedly, Taj Mohammad servant of Tehsil Municipal Office, a resident of village 31/EB was going back home when Imran with his three accomplices intercepted him.

They snatched cellphone and Rs3,000 from him. The police have registered a case.
