LAHORE - The first phase of annual Raiwind Tablighi congregation concluded on Sunday morning with the prayer for forgiveness and unity among Ummah.
Around one million participants from various cities including Lahore participated in the prayer which was offered by Ameer Tablighi Jamaat and leading religious scholar Haji Abdul Wahab. In his 30-minuter long pray, Haji Wahab sought Allah Almighty’s forgiveness and mercy for Ummah. He asked God to lead mankind on the path of virtue and mutual respect. He prayed for the welfare of mankind and peace and stability in the world.
Law and order agencies and transport operators including Pakistan Railways and Lahore Transport Authority made special arrangements for the congregation. The second and final phase of the 3-day congregation will start on Thursday.
