LAHORE - PML-N has constituted a Parliamentary Board for selection of Mayors in Punjab after the completion of third phase of Local Bodies elections on December 3. Comprising of Ministers and senior Parliamentarians, it would be headed by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who would himself interview the prospective candidates for the coveted slots.
Elected Chairmen of various Union Councils across Punjab would be eligible to apply on a prescribed form which can be downloaded from the party website. The second phase of LG polls will start from Nov 19th.
