LAHORE: Maiden international art exhibition of Erum Ashfaq titled “Reflections of Natural Heritage of Pakistan” will be displayed in Berlin, Germany, on November 11, says a press release.
The solo art show of another Pakistani artist Erum Ashfaq who hails from Lahore, has been arranged by Pakistan Embassy in Germany at its premises and is being hosted by Ambassador Syed Hassan Javed. On display in the exhibition, which will continue for three days, will be 20 landscape paintings which Erum Ashfaq has recently done depicting mostly beautiful valley of Soan Sakesar as well as lush green fields and village life of Punjab province.
According to her, the mountainous terrain of the province has never been painted before.
On being contacted, Erum Ashfaq said that she is indeed very happy to have got the opportunity, through the courtesy of Pakistan Ambassador in Germany Syed Hassan Javed, for displaying her creative art at the international forum for the first time.
She said the moment she got an invitation and held formal discussion with the Ambassador, she realised his emotional concern for boosting and promoting the progressive image of Pakistan, especially the women, at a high profile international forum.
She went on to remark: “The paintings she will be displaying in Berlin exhibition are not merely paintings to me, it’s the honour for the country, reflection of aptitude of a nation , as my art manifests the same.”
Erum Ashfaq will be leaving Lahore for Berlin , Germany, for the art exhibition along with her dental surgeon husband Dr Muhammad Ashfaq and two children Muhammad Raza Ashfaq and Fiza Ashfaq on November 9.
