Senate was informed on Friday that the government is set to launch a National Immigration and Welfare Policy for overseas Pakistanis soon.

Responding to a question, Communication Minister Murad Saeed told the House that the government would solve the overseas Pakistani’s problems on priority basis.

He said that a package will soon be introduced to increase the remittances of the country. Responding to a question, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ali Muhammad Khan said that the government was committed to promote sports activities in the country.

He said that Abbottabad cricket stadium was occasionally used for conducting cricket training camps for both men and women cricket teams. He said that there were no plans to hold the Pakistan Super League matches in Abbottabad. “However, Abbottabad cricket stadium is regularly used for domestic cricket matches,” he added.
