Govt to setup two technical universities in Punjab

Punjab government has decided to set up two new technical education universities in Punjab province.

According to media reports, these universities will be established in Rawalpindi and D.G. Khan. These universities will be built at the cost of 6 billion rupees.

Industries department Punjab has completed work on the project for establishment of these two universities.

Provincial minister Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal has said the legislation will be enacted in Punjab Assembly soon on this matter.

The government has also announced to reactivate two dysfunctional universities. Under 100 days plan, as many as 10 new technical education universities will be set up all over the country.
