ISLAMABAD- Major reshuffle in the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is expected after Tariq Mehmood Khan took charge as the new Chairman CDA on Wednesday. Mustafain Kazmi, Senior Director Sanitation is expected to be promoted to the post of Member (Admin), while Kamran Qureshi, Member (Finance) and Brig Asad Munir, Member (Estate) are also expected to step out of the civic body, sources in CDA revealed. The present CDA Board was composed during the tenure of the former Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari with the bliss of Faisal Saleh Hayat and Aftab Sherpao, former Interior Ministers, when CDA used to be under the Interior Ministry. It is pertinent to mention here that former Member (Engineering) Moin-ud-Din Kakakhel and Member (Admin) Shaukat Ali Mehmand have been already transferred from the Authority to Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Environment respectively. Tariq Mehmood Khan has been working in CDA as Member (Admin) for the last three months, promoted from CDA Director (Estate Management), where he had served for three years. He has also served as Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and Gilgit besides working in different positions in Ministry of Interior and National Highways Authority (NHA). Meanwhile, new Chairman CDA Tariq Mehmood Khan hosted a farewell party in the honour of former Chairman Kamran Lashari in Convention Center. Speaking at the occasion, Khan said that the pace of work on the mega project would be kept high at every cost and new projects would be initiated to better facilitate the residents of the federal capital. He said that he would benefit from the experience of the former Chairman in early completion of the ongoing projects and inception of new ones.  He paid rich tribute to the outgoing chairman and said that he had virtually worked hard to lift the face of Islamabad during his tenure. Khan said that he would focus on making Islamabad a model city. He stressed officials of the Authority to work hard for the uplift of the city and ease of its residents. He said problems faced by the CDA employees would be sorted out on priority basis. Kamran Lashari, while speaking on the occasion, thanked CDA employees for working with him as a team. He said he worked hard to complete the projects he had incepted with a vision to turn Islamabad into a city full of social activities. He said he would never hesitate to offer his suggestions for better execution of the ongoing projects in the city. Former Chairman CDA has been appointed as Chief Commissioner Islamabad. Keeping in view his services for the development of the city, he is expected to solve the various problems faced by residents of the suburbs of Islamabad in the capacity of top boss of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration.
