ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's 24-man contingent will leave for India today from Karachi to participate in the 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games starting from October 12 at Pune, India. The athletics and wrestling teams have reached Karachi on Wednesday from Islamabad to join the contingent. According to a spokesman for Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Joint Secretary for Ministry of Sports Muhammad Anwar Khan will be the head of green shirts as Pakistan will compete in five disciplines including athletics, swimming, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling. While Pakistan contingent leaves for India, the athletes will embark from Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, Karachi on Thursday (today) to take part in the prestigious sports event of teenagers of the Commonwealth countries.
