We are all sick of inquiry commissions that are formed every other day to probe into incidents of terrorism taking place in Pakistan. And now there are far too many of those too often. All we hear from those in power is the usual spiel of their being grieved and that culprits will be dealt with an iron hand soon. I am sure even the ministers are short on words and phrases. We, as a nation, want to know who have been sacked for negligence and incompetence so far. There was a clear lapse of security when a truckload of explosives penetrated the capital to reach as far as Marriott in the Red Zone. Who got fired? Lets see some action. Lets see some armchair security expert, or bureaucrat, or minister retire to count the booty of his lifetime. Let us see the situation as a whole and for once call spade a spade. This 9/20 of Pakistan is no joke. 9/11 had shook America. -AMJAD HABIB MIRZA, Lahore, via e-mail, September 23.
