PESHAWAR - Unidentified persons fired two projectiles in the congested area of the University Town Thursday morning resulting in the damage of a government office, however, no human loss was reported. Police sources said that one of the fired rockets hit an office in the University Town, which partially damaged the its boundary wall while another rocket landed in the fields near the limits of Peshtahara Police station. It is pertinent to mention here that rocket attacks have been intensified after the launch of the military operation in Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency. Bara was the stronghold of the banned LI supporters. Many people, however, believe that local chapter of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban were also involved in attacks on the provincial capital. Despite the presence of security forces, the militants are still active in Bara region as the rocket attacks over Peshawar metropolis has become a routine business.
