PESHAWAR - Security agencies Thursday released former commissioner Malakand division Syed Muhammad Javed who was arrested a few months back for his alleged links with Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat chapter. Sources Thursday said that the former commissioner Malakand was under the custody of security agencies and was released after thorough investigation. He was blamed for his contribution with Taliban during the occupation of Buner district. Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain also confirmed the release of former commissioner Malakand. He said that he was under the custody of intelligence agencies and now the NWFP government would have the right to conduct an impartial inquiry regarding his suspicious character during Swat operation.
