LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said a programme has been evolved to give targeted subsidy to the poorest of the poor.
Presiding over a meeting on mechanical tandoors and the launch of a welfare programme for low income people Tuesday, the CM directed the department concerned for evolving a plan to provide Sasti Roti to labourers and low-income people through mechanical tandoors throughout the province.
He also set up a committee under Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan to finalise recommendations about the project within two weeks. The chief minister said that the programmes started by the last PML-N government to help people in Punjab will continue.
